What is St. Vincent de Paul??
PSt. Vincent de Paul today is world-wide. SVDP was founded in Paris in 1833 and celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2008.
PWe are a Christian non-profit 501(3)c organization that welcomes all faiths and denominations.
PLocally, SVDP-GB is 35 years old. Your donations stay in the Green Bay area to directly benefit those in our community.
PSimply, SVDP collects unneeded household and other useful material, and recycles them quickly back to the community by inexpensively selling them in our store or offering them through our community outreach program to those in need.
POur store thrives on large volumes of materials. We have a wonderful custom facility, with large warehouse, sorting and working areas. We have about 13 drop boxes now in Green Bay.
PWe accept a wider range of donated materials than others. Most any estate, office, garage, furniture, attic, shed, closet, trade-in, obsolete, returns, sporting goods, clothes, shoes, lamps and on and on … !
The success of SVDP has been made possible by the generous support of the people of the Green Bay area – people just like you
ØDuring the past 12 months, volunteers at SVDP-GB have logged over 72,000 hours of their time & helped generate over $730,000.00 of aid.
ØSt. Vincent de Paul in Green Bay is the largest charity you've never heard of. We work with other non-profits to make the most of our resources.
ØSVDP employs a full time social worker, and sponsors transitional housing, including the House of Hope in addition to direct aid to individuals.
ØOur 4 trucks are busy every day picking up collection box contents and donations of furniture, large objects, business and household accumulations.
ØPaul's Pantry, the Green Bay area's largest food pantry, operates under the SVDP umbrella, but is supported with separate funding.
St. Vincent de Paul is a WIN-WIN for Donors, Volunteers, Employees, Shoppers and those in most Need.
