Bridges out of Poverty Workshop

Take a deep breath, clear your mind and see poverty through a different lens! Gain an understanding of “Mental Models” and how they affect our behavior. Discover the “Hidden Rules” that come from the environment in which we were raised. Experience what it means to be in the “Tyranny of the Moment” and how a lack of resources limits choices. Who attends Bridges? Anyone who interacts with people! (6 hours)

Getting Ahead Workshop

Experiencing poverty? Join with others in a kitchen table-style learning experience. Investigate the four causes of poverty and explore the impact it has had on your life. Discover your strengths, share your experiences and learn from others. Develop your unique “Future Story” and create an individualized plan with the help of trained facilitators, mentors and your peers. Make it happen! Take control of your life! (18-20 weeks)

Immersion/Re-Entry

Immersion provides a welcoming network of support and wrap-around services to returning citizens, their families and loved ones in navigating the unique challenges they face after incarceration. Immersion assists them in accessing resources that may otherwise seem to be unavailable to those sincerely interested in a positive and productive return to their communities.
